There are many forms of International funding and, in addition to research funding, also includes mobility and university cooperation programs with European and non-European countries. We have compiled the most important funding programs for you on this page. In addition to the funding programs of the European Union, we also present some national funding programs with an international funding background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horizon Europe<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

European Structural Funds (ERDF)<\/h2>
\n

The aim of the ERDF <\/a>is to strengthen economic and social cohesion within the EU by supporting it’s regional policy. This is to be achieved by reducing structural disparities between the individual regions and by promoting balanced spatial development.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Education and mobility program ERASMUS+<\/h2>
\n

Erasmus+<\/a> is the EU program for education, training, youth and sport. In addition to the funding of individual mobility for students and staff, funding is also available for European collaborative projects. Both funding lines are managed by the International Office (IO)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD)<\/h2>
\n

The DAAD offers a broad range of research-related funding for postdoctoral researchers, including research stays abroad, support for events and networks, guest lectureships, and visits to partner universities abroad with the aim of creating sustainable international research and university cooperation.
In addition, the DAAD awards personal grants and supports projects in cooperation with several research and educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAAD-Project Funding Programs (german)<\/a>
Scholarship Database<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAAD Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (P.R.I.M.E.): <\/a>DAAD P.R.I.M.E. funding supports postdocs of all nationalities and subjects. The funding includes a 12-month phase abroad and a six-month integration phase at a German university, where the funding recipients are employed as postdocs for the entire project period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital Europe:<\/a> The Digital Europe program funds projects in five key areas: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills and ensuring the widespread uptake of digital technologies across the economy and society. The program aims to close the gap between digital technology research and marketable applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European Cooperation in Science and Technology – COST:<\/a> The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) program promotes network activities and cooperation within and outside of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humanies in the European Research Area<\/a> – HERA: HERA stands for “Humanies in the European Research Area” and is a network of research sponsors of the humanities in the European Research Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
